Mi Voz

One of the oldest settled places of North America, the Presidio, Texas/Ojinaga, Mexico region known as La Junta de Los Rios, has become a complex political environment following the move toward the increased militarization of the U.S./Mexico border. These photographs were made in 2009 by youth living on this border as a way to complicate the often stark and singular way the border is depicted. A series of twelve postcards were created to call reference to our view of this contested landscape.
